​Weddings 
I work with couples to create the wedding ceremony that reflects them, their wishes, their love. The wedding day is the start of marriage, so I help couples begin to set intentions for their married life by attention to their wedding ceremony, their vows, choices in readings, etc. Since marriage equality became the law in Washington State in 2012, I have been honored to marry many gay and lesbian couples, as well as straight couples. In addition to custom ceremonies, I also have ceremonies available for short notice weddings

Serving couples that wish to marry is a joy to me. As an ordained interfaith minister, I hope to have the honor of serving you on your wedding day. As a counselor with practiced listening skills, I will hear and synthesize your stories. As a poet and a wordsmith, I will create a custom wedding ceremony reflecting you, your relationship and your wishes for your wedding. Ceremonies big and small, formal and informal, spiritual and secular . . . I have done them all, enjoyed each and every one.

I am a dedicated supporter of marriage equality. My husband and I worked many hours each week in the 2012 campaign for marriage equality in Washington State, Referendum 74. Since that time, I have officiated the weddings of many gay and lesbian couples. Everyone’s liberties are as important to me as my own. Everyone deserves the freedom to marry the person they love, just as my husband and I had the joy and privilege of marrying 33 years ago. 

Marriage is a journey of deep and committed love, place of trust and companionship, through the challenges of life. As a cornerstone of society, marriage is good for communities, good for children, good for families, and at its heart, good for couples wishing to marry. Your wedding is the threshold into your marriage.
